A mathematics student buries his parents
Numbers numb.
Each integer interred.
I bury what I dare not think of.
I dig to make it zero.
Shrouded from the beginning,
Each heart-beat fails to cancel out
The product of tumescent want.
As I stand here,
What is equal to these graves, except my own –
Simplifying the equation?
Is this the answer then?
Some sums add up to less than nought.
